Who Do You Wear Your Daffodil For?
On a freezing Canterbury day like today it’s hard to believe tomorrow is officially the first day of spring. But it is, and today is Daffodil Day – the day which symbolises hope for the one in three New Zealanders affected by cancer.
With the odds so high, it’s no wonder that behind every Kiwi there is a story of someone they know who is affected by cancer. If you’d like to help them and others, visit https://www.daffodilday.org.nz/ to find out the many ways you can make a difference.
Whether it’s buying daffodils, donating to the street collectors, purchasing Cancer Society merchandise, or making a donation by text, phone or online, every gift counts.
Your donation will go towards vital scientific research into the causes and treatment of all types of cancer, as well as providing a wide range of support services, education and awareness campaigns / programmes for people affected by cancer in your area.
So let’s all do what we can to help those we know, and those we don’t, who are affected. And welcome to spring everyone!
